Jonas, who has been kind enough to lead us in a wonderful yoga session throughout the summer after the track workouts is now teaching at the new Center for Rehabilitation and Wellness Center recently opened by the Portsmouth Hospital...the building is a few doors down from the hospital at 155 Borthwick Ave.  Classes are only $6.00 and here is the schedule until November 25th...

Mondays   630-730 PM ?    yoga for golfers

Tuesdays   730-800 AM ?     yoga level 1
                  900-1000 AM ?   yoga level 2
                  1230-100 PM ?    yoga level 1
430-530 PM ?      yoga for golfers

Thursdays 730-800 AM ?      yoga level 1
                  1230-100 PM ?    yoga level 1

Saturdays   830-930 AM ?     yoga level 2
                  1000?1100 AM ? yoga level 2

All classes are informed by Ashtanga yoga with postural modification with the intent to emphasize balanced alignment of bones and strong attention to breathing.  Level assignment is based on class duration not physical intensity which no doubt will be explored in all classes.

They have other types of classes available at this new facility...and here is the link for that...www.portsmouthhospital.com

Portsmouth Regional Hospital created this space not only for employees and patients but also for the community of the seacoast.

Great job last night to all of the CAA members who came out to participate in the Thunder Chicken 5k Road race...the rain held off and it ended up being a great night for running.
CAA took home the team prize with some great performances from Bob Wiles(2nd overall), Julie Kyrosis(2nd female overall), Todd Hanson(1st 50-59) and Sybil Carven(2nd 40-49).  Honorable Mention goes to Laurianne Schlosser who did a 22.53 while pushing a DOUBLE baby jogger and Amy Howell who did 24:09 while pushing a SINGLE baby jogger!...kudos to you ladies!...

**Just a quick note to remind everyone when they are signing up for a race and there is an option for TEAM NAME...please use CAA, not Coastal Athletic Association.  I spoke with Granite State Timing and they said this is the best name to use on the applications because their computer picks up that name...thank you.**
